Calvary Christian College part of Queen’s 90th Birthday Celebrations at Windsor Castle

A Uniting Church Foundation program supporting Year 10 Indigenous students to fulfill their educational potential is going from strength to strength.

Indigenous Learning Pathways Grant

This grant has been established by the Uniting Church in Australia, Queensland Synod to provide financial assistance to disadvantaged Indigenous students by contributing to the cost of equipment, travel, training and/or study resources which will help students to complete training or a qualification that has the potential to lead to meaningful long term employment.

Grants from the Indigenous Learning Pathways will be made to eligible Indigenous students following applications to and recommendations from the Schools and Residential Colleges Commission.

Three Indigenous students have received the first round of grants through the Synod’s $10 for 10 appeal to help them achieve their dreams for the future.

NGS support of Schools Commission

Chair of the Schools Commission, Rev David MacGregor, and Executive Officer, Mrs Elaine Rae, were delighted to accept a cheque from Mr Neil Kent of NGS at the Schools Commission meeting yesterday. NGS have generously been assisting the Uniting Church Schools Commission in their work in improving school governance. NGS also works directly with our schools in assisting staff with their superannuation queries.
