Over the past eight weeks I have greatly enjoyed participating in many celebratory events at many of our Uniting Church-affiliated schools and residential colleges.

This week I attended the National Consultative Group meeting of the Independent Schools Council of Australia (ISCA) in Canberra, which included a meeting with the new Federal Minister for Education, The Hon Dan Tehan MP.
The Education Council met in Adelaide on the last Friday of June, with ministers discussing a range of national issues across the early childhood and school education portfolios.

Calvary Christian College’s Principal and two staff will travel to Windsor Castle in London after being invited to tell their story of innovation in educational practice as part of Her Majesty’s Queen Elizabeth’s 90th Birthday celebrations in May, 2016. The College will also be featured in the Her Majesty’s official commemorative album in the chapter titled “The Best of the Commonwealth”. [Read more…]

A Uniting Church Foundation program supporting Year 10 Indigenous students to fulfill their educational potential is going from strength to strength.
